Import Domains (file)

Importing domain list from Excel (CSV) file is similar to adding a long list of domain names to the portfolio/marketplace database, except the domain list is compiled in a table with the form fields represented by columns, while each row of the table holds a domain name and relevant data. The data fields can be empty. The table is then saved as .csv file, ready to be imported. An example of such file can be found here.

Steps to Bulk Domain names from Excel File

  • Prepare the excel sheet data/table and save it as .csv format
  • Each row of the table represents a domain.
  • When saving the file as .csv, you must indicate (use) | as Field delimiter. The delimiter character is called pipe - see picture
  • Enclosure is also a must. Enclosure is a character that specifies the field enclosure character. It should be "
  • The columns in the file you want to import must match the columns of the table on the database server. In all there are 29 columns and only Column3 -Domain name (lower case) - is compulsory. All others can be empty.
  • "Leave Empty" field - will be automatically generated by the program.
  • "Optional" field - you may select or enter the value(s) to be used if the field is empty. For example, in your file you can leave the domain category field empty, and then select from the drop-down list.

Your excel file columns must have ALL the columns and STRICTLY be in this order:
